Help Educate a Sudanese Orphan
Come meet Peter Nyok, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan living in San Jose, CA.
Sudanese Youth Opportunity was established by Peter Nyok to support orphans from his village in Jonglei state.
Beginning in 2004 and as recent as Arpil 2009, Peter rescued orphans and “at risk” children living in “war torn” villages in southern Sudan. Today, 63 Sudanese children are living safely in Kenya, where they have the opportunity to attend school.
Peter works two jobs to support these orphans and seeks sponsors to assist with school tuition, uniforms and school supplies.
Peter’s mission is to educate each of these children and give them an opportunity to participate in the rebuilding of their homeland by pairing donors with one of Peter’s 63 refugee Sudanese children.
Peter’s long term goal includes building women’s micro-business and schools in Sudan.
